I currently have a waiting list for lessons. Unfortunately, I cannot provide an exact wait length. I have gone for as long as 6 months without a permanent opening, so it is really tough to gauge exact wait times. Scheduling will also depend on compatibility between my schedule and the student's. One way I can accommodate new students who don't have a regular spot is when a current student calls me ahead of time about an absence.
The best time to get into the schedule is in the summer. I still do regular lessons through the summer(minus the weeks I teach at UNH and run my summer guitar program).
